UEFA has officially announced multiple sanctions against Benfica. Due to racist behavior by fans, the club has been fined €40,000.

Full statement:
According to the decision of UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB), Benfica have been fined €40,000 and ordered to partially close their stadium (Sections 10 and/or 11, comprising a total of 500 seats) during their next UEFA club competition home match.
In addition, Benfica received further sanctions for other violations: a €8,000 fine for the use of laser pointers and a €25,000 fine for the throwing of objects.
Meanwhile, Benfica assistant coach Pedro Machado has been handed a one-match suspension for improper conduct, which will be served during the next UEFA club competition match in which he would otherwise be involved.
