The 2025/26 Premier League season has concluded, with Arsenal crowned champions for the first time in 22 years. Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Liverpool secured qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
The scenario of “Manchester City beating Villa and Liverpool defeating Brentford” did not happen, meaning the Premier League failed to gain a sixth Champions League spot. Villa finished fourth in the league, while the extra Champions League berth created by their Europa League triumph was passed on to Portuguese runners-up Sporting CP.
Chelsea lost in the final round and finished the season in 10th place. Bournemouth and Sunderland qualified for the Europa League, while Brighton & Hove Albion secured a UEFA Europa Conference League spot.
Tottenham Hotspur successfully avoided relegation on the final day by defeating Everton, surviving ahead of West Ham United. West Ham, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley were ultimately relegated.
Individually, Erling Haaland won the Golden Boot with 27 goals, claiming the award for the third time in his four Premier League seasons. Bruno Fernandes set a new Premier League single-season assist record with 21 assists and was named the league’s Player of the Season.
