Security at the stadiums has been heavily criticized throughout this FIFA World Cup. According to the Daily Mail, two Argentine influencers were arrested by local police after exploiting security loopholes to gain unauthorized access to a stadium.

The report states that the two influencers are 20-year-old Marmol and 26-year-old Perrotta, both from Argentina. During the earlier group-stage match between Colombia and Portugal, the pair allegedly used fake credentials to enter the stadium.

According to the police report, they bypassed three layers of security using the forged passes before gaining access to the main stadium. When questioned by stadium staff, they claimed to be social media influencers who had entered the venue to livestream the match for their followers.

They also said they were working for a media company and insisted that their credentials were legitimate. However, authorities later confirmed that the credentials had expired and were no longer valid.

A judge in Miami found both suspects guilty and ordered them to remain in custody. Bail was set at $2,500 for each of them.
