Manchester United will complete their preparations for the 2026-27 Premier League season when they face AC Milan in Wroclaw, Poland, on Saturday afternoon. The Red Devils head into the fixture with plenty of confidence after winning both the Snapdragon Cup and Boyle Sports Cup during pre-season. Michael Carrick’s team recovered from a 1-0 defeat to Wrexham in their opening match by producing a series of encouraging performances, including a 5-0 victory over Rosenborg, a 2-1 success against Atletico Madrid and a 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain before overcoming Leeds United on penalties. Their final meeting with Milan will provide one more opportunity to sharpen their approach before travelling to Hull City for their Premier League opener on August 22. Manchester United have also strengthened their squad during the summer, with Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, Karl Darlow and Tynan Thompson arriving as the club continues to build for the new campaign. Santos has been one of the standout performers during pre-season and is expected to feature prominently again, while Kobbie Mainoo, Lisandro Martinez, Marcus Rashford and Benjamin Sesko could all make their first appearances of the summer. Harry Maguire is also expected to return after being rested against Leeds, with Bruno Fernandes, Luke Shaw and Matheus Cunha among those who could start. Mason Mount remains a concern after picking up a foot problem against PSG. The match will also attract considerable attention because of Ruben Amorim, who endured a difficult spell at Manchester United before taking charge of Milan in June.
