Juventus could part ways with Federico Gatti this summer as the defender looks for a new challenge after falling down the pecking order. Juventus are therefore exploring potential options for the centre-back, with FC Porto emerging as one of the clubs showing the strongest interest.

Porto are reportedly keen to bring Gatti to Portugal as they look to strengthen their defence ahead of the 2026-27 season. Manager Francesco Farioli is believed to view the Italian as a good tactical fit and could offer him a more consistent role than he has recently enjoyed at Juventus. The possibility of regular playing time has reportedly made Porto an appealing destination for Gatti, who is seeking greater opportunities to establish himself.

Negotiations between Juventus and Porto are already underway, although the two clubs have yet to agree on the structure of the proposed transfer. Porto have reportedly suggested a season-long loan with an option to make the move permanent, but Juventus are not convinced by that arrangement and have rejected the initial proposal. Talks remain ongoing, however, with the Portuguese transfer window scheduled to remain open until September 5, giving both sides additional time to find a compromise.

Juventus are also understood to have other potential suitors for Gatti. Galatasaray have shown interest, while several clubs from the Saudi Pro League are reportedly monitoring his situation. With multiple options emerging, Juventus could still find a solution that suits their plans, particularly if Porto are willing to improve their proposal. For Gatti, the priority appears to be finding a club where he can regain regular playing time and play a more prominent role.
