Reiss Nelson Begins New Chapter After Leaving Arsenal for Feyenoord

    0 0

Reiss Nelson has officially entered a new chapter of his career after ending his long association with Arsenal. The winger has decided to leave the North London club permanently and continue his career in the Netherlands with Eredivisie side Feyenoord, bringing an end to a journey that began in Arsenal’s academy.

Nelson broke into Arsenal’s first team in 2017 as a promising young player, but establishing himself as a regular became increasingly difficult in recent seasons. He spent the last two campaigns on loan at Fulham and Brentford, hoping to gain more playing time and rediscover the form that once made him one of Arsenal’s highly rated academy prospects.

His move to Feyenoord represents a return to familiar surroundings. Nelson previously spent the 2021/2022 season on loan at the Rotterdam club, making 21 appearances and scoring twice. This time, however, he joins on a permanent deal as a free agent after completing his medical, with Feyenoord expected to officially announce his arrival for the 2026/2027 campaign.

The move gives Nelson another opportunity to revive his career and establish himself as an important player at club level. His departure is also part of a wider reshaping of the Arsenal squad, with Gabriel Jesus having moved to Barcelona and Fabio Vieira returning to Germany to join Hamburg during the closing stages of the transfer window.
