Inter Milan have secured the long-term future of Francesco Pio Esposito after reaching an agreement on a new contract that will keep the young striker at San Siro until June 2032. The 21-year-old has emerged as an important part of the Nerazzurri squad, earning greater responsibility alongside established forward Lautaro Martinez.

The new agreement also represents an early example of Italy’s updated rules on player contracts. Previous regulations limited deals to a maximum of five years, while the revised framework allows clubs to offer contracts lasting up to six seasons. Inter have taken advantage of the change to provide Esposito with extended security as his career continues to develop.

Esposito has been part of Inter’s academy since 2014 and progressed through the club’s youth system before breaking into the senior squad. Two seasons on loan at Spezia played an important role in his development, while his return to Inter in 2025 saw him make further progress under Cristian Chivu, who had previously worked with him at youth level. Esposito has now made 53 competitive appearances for the first team, producing 12 goals and eight assists.

His progress has also earned recognition at international level, with Esposito making his Italy senior debut in September 2025 and scoring five goals in nine appearances so far. As part of the new contract, his salary is reportedly set to rise from €1.85 million to €2.7 million net per season. The improved terms underline Inter’s confidence in Esposito and their belief that he can become an important figure for the club over the coming years.
