PSM Makassar VS Arema FC

PSM Makassar will host Arema FC in the second week of the 2026/27 BRI Super League at Gelora B.J. Habibie Stadium on Sunday, September 13, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30pm WIB. PSM will be looking to respond positively after their defeat against Persib in the opening round. Darije Kalezic’s side showed plenty of promise in that match, producing a strong first-half display by scoring and defending effectively. However, their performance dropped after the break as Persib increased the pressure and eventually turned the game around. The challenge against Arema will therefore require PSM to maintain their intensity and concentration for the full 90 minutes. Arema FC arrive in Parepare with greater confidence after beginning the season with a convincing victory over Isenmulang. The Singo Edan were particularly dangerous in the first half, scoring three times before their overall performance declined following several substitutions. Their recent record against PSM should also provide an additional boost, with Arema unbeaten in their last five meetings with the Makassar club. Nevertheless, PSM have shown they can be highly efficient in attack, especially through quick counterattacks.
