Indonesia enter the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 with the highest squad market value among all participating nations while also taking on hosting duties. The Garuda are placed in Group A alongside Malaysia, Bangladesh and Singapore, with all of their group-stage matches scheduled at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta.
According to Transfermarkt valuations, Indonesia’s squad is worth around Rp377.79 billion, putting them comfortably ahead of Malaysia at Rp120.37 billion. Bangladesh follow closely in third place with Rp115.15 billion, while Singapore have the lowest valuation in Group A and across the tournament at Rp59.10 billion. The figures highlight the financial differences between the squads, although market value does not necessarily determine results on the pitch.
Indonesia also boast the tournament’s most valuable individual player in Kevin Diks, whose estimated market value stands at Rp86.91 billion. Bangladesh midfielder Hamza Choudhury ranks second at Rp69.53 billion, with his valuation making him one of the standout players in the competition. Singapore’s entire squad is valued below Diks alone, further underlining the significant gap in market valuations.
In Group B, Thailand lead the market-value standings with a squad worth Rp159.09 billion, followed by Vietnam at Rp111.24 billion, Pakistan at Rp76.04 billion and the Philippines at Rp68.22 billion. Despite Indonesia’s clear financial advantage, goalkeeper Maarten Paes has stressed the importance of maintaining focus throughout the group stage, as strong opposition and the pressure of playing in front of home supporters will demand concentration from the opening minute until the final whistle.
